Peter Spiegelman spent over 20 years in the financial world on Wall Street and running a software banking company. In 2001 he retired from that field in order to devote himself to fiction writing. His first book, Black Maps, published in 2003, won the 2004 Shamus Award for best first novel from the Private Eye Writers Association. He is a resident of Ridgefield.
