Biographical Information:

Dates in Ridgefield:

Lilibet Snellings is the author of Box Girl: My Part-Time Job as an Art Installation. The book chronicles her life in Los Angeles in her 20s, and notably her unorthodox job at West Hollywood's Standard Hotel. The hotel reception area had a glass box behind it, and in the box was a woman, on display from 7 pm to 2 am, usually in a tank top and shorts. During her time in LA, she became what she refers to as a "slash": writer/actress/model/waitress. Snellings has also published interviews and essays in a wide variety of publications.

Snellings was born in Georgia and raised in Ridgefield. She received a BA in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MFA from the University of Southern California. She left sunny Los Angeles for Chicago.
