Richard Pilbrow, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Theatre Projects Consultants, is an internationally known author and stage lighting designer, and a theater, film and television producer. In 2010, Live Design voted Richard "one of the 50 most powerful people in the entertainment technology industry." Richard won the 1995 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for the Broadway production of Show Boat. In 2005, he was honored as Lighting Designer of the Year by Lighting Dimensions magazine and in 2008, he was awarded the Wally Russell Lifetime Achievement Award. He was chosen by Laurence Olivier to be lighting director and later theater consultant to the National Theatre of Great Britain.
