Ridgefielder Deanne Mincer is the author of The 52: Discovering the True You in 52 Simple Lessons, and has been teaching classes in yoga, meditation, stress reduction, and spirituality for over 25 years. As the extended subtitle of The 52 explains, the book is “inspired by the profound teachings of a course in miracles, classic yoga texts, and the mystical poetry of Rumi,” drawing on a variety of spiritual traditions both ancient and modern. The book includes 52 lessons, one for each week of the year, that are designed to improve self-awareness. Mincer also created a sound recording of yoga nidra, which is a sleeping meditation. The recording, called "Divine Love: A Unique Yoga Nidra Experience," was made in collaboration with the sound group Sacred Acoustics.
