To sports enthusiasts, Seth Davis is both a familiar face and a familiar by-line. Since 1995 he has been writing for Sports Illustrated, including the “Inside College Basketball” column, and, for SI.com, his “Hoop Thoughts” column. He is also a contributor to the magazine’s “Golf Plus” section. Prior to joining Sports Illustrated, he was a sports reporter for The New Haven Register.He joined CBS Sports in 2003, appearing as a college basketball studio analyst for CBS’s NCAA basketball coverage. He has also contributed live segments to The NFL Today and has been an on-air host, reporter, and analyst for College Sports Television. A 1992 graduate of Duke University, he is the author of When March Went Mad and a memoir, Equinunk, Tell Your Story. Davis is also a public speaker whose motivational message is called “Define Yourself”; in addition, he can be seen as a standup comic in clubs throughout New York.
